subject:object is a regular gathering for creatives in Toronto built around the redesign of everyday objects.An object is chosen. An invitation is sent to a small group of designers, with nothing attached but the chosen object and meeting date.
This first meeting is centred around the redesign of the tape dispenser. Each designer will bring a prototype (of varying fidelities) that brings their concept to life.
The goal of these meetings is to create a space for open critique and experimentation. Meetings are informal, free, and are also open to anyone that is not invited to present.
